So amidst some personal scrambling and a technical mishap, it's been entirely too long since I've posted a legitimate story here, so here's one that's about as big as it comes. (Hint: take a look at the far right.)
Why wait for our CSTS events in September to spend rediculous amounts of money on pretty pretty shwag? Global is hosting a gorram shiny auction for some unique items you won't find anywhere else. Go check it out at http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/2010auction/ and decide what you wanna spend your child's college money on! (Remember to save some money for our events though, tickets should be on sale in the next few weeks and there's some great raffle prizes, merch, and shwag to get in on... along with some amazingly shiny entertainment.)
San Diego ComicCon starts July 20 with all sorts of goodies including a rumored panel combining Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams, and probably some kind of news to feed Joss's rabid fans, like details on A Shepherd's Tale or confirmation on Avengers (more and more blogs are confirming it, but until I hear it from the man himself and see production begin, I'm not biting). Is anyone going? I'll be expecting full coverage from our more fortunate members! Make the Az Browncoats proud! For now, enjoy this glorious (if fuzzy and low res) picture twittered by Nathan tonight. Oh what wonders must have taken place on this night.

Hey all. I wrote this piece about The AZBrowncoats time at LepreCon 36 back in May, and am now just posting it. Happy reading!
5/1:
At the AZ Browncoats shindig prior to LepreCon 36, I acquired the fan table supply box and display board from one of our members, Jenn. She had already posted the online Browncoats volunteer sign-up sheet for our fan table at LepreCon. 5/13, Thursday night: Prepare the fan table box. I emptied its varied contents onto my bed to see what would be needed and what would not as to make the box lighter. A while ago a thought had popped into my mind to purchase an understated yet sturdy stand with which to properly display (show off, That’s right, we got an award, Nah nah nah!) our group’s New Times award for “Best Geeks With A Cause” plaque.
Joss,
Thank you for making all of our lives just a little bit better by letting us enjoy true, creative, intelligent entertainment. Here's wishing you a shiny birthday!
-Jennifer
